Artwork

Covers that look like the artist, not like the last prompt.

Artello's cover workspace creates artwork concepts for singles and albums using your artist's visual language, then checks them against common distributor requirements — square format, high resolution, matching text, no unlicensed logos or likenesses. You choose, edit and approve the final image before it goes into your release package.

What do distributors require from cover art?

  • Square image at the minimum resolution your distributor specifies.
  • Any text must match the release title and artist name.
  • No third-party logos, store badges, URLs or social handles.
  • No blurry, pixelated or stretched images.
  • No likeness of real people you don't have permission to use.

How does Artello generate covers?

Artello builds an image brief from the artist profile and the release — mood, palette, texture, composition — and produces concepts for you to compare. You can iterate, crop and add typography. Final artwork is stored with the release and its provenance notes.

03

What are the limits?

Generated artwork can still resemble existing work, and distributor rules change. Artello's checks are a review aid, not an approval. Read your distributor's current artwork guidelines before uploading.

How it works in Artello

  1. Open a release in Artello.
  2. Review the image brief from the artist profile.
  3. Generate and compare concepts.
  4. Add title and artist text if wanted.
  5. Run the checklist and export the approved cover.

Frequently asked questions

Is AI cover art accepted by DistroKid?

Distributor policies change. Check DistroKid's current artwork guidelines; Artello's checklist helps you review against common requirements but does not guarantee acceptance.

Can I upload my own artwork instead?

Yes. You can bring your own image and still use the review checklist and release package.

Who owns generated artwork?

Ownership depends on the tools and terms involved. Keep the provenance notes Artello stores and seek qualified advice if it matters for your release.
